Rare lost artifacts of holy or unholy power exist that will improve your relationship with your deity. (If you decline, you can still become a follower of the Daedric Prince by visiting their shrine.) Should you decline the Temptation, the Daedric Prince will not ask again, so choose wisely. In particular, when you interact with a Daedric Prince during a quest or read about their deeds of might and glory, the Daedric Prince may offer you to immediately become their follower, regardless of your race or other requirements. This represents the religion your character followed before they arrived in Skyrim.Īlthough visiting their shrine is the most common way to become a follower of a deity, there are other ways. Worship is equivalent to prayer, but raises favor by a larger amount.Īt the start of your playthrough (after the intro sequence or when you reach level 2, same as Survival Mode), a dialog box appears, allowing you to choose a deity based on your race. You can also worship at the shrine of your deity. Some deities may restrict prayer to specific times or locations. While you can pray as often as you wish, praying at least once a day is sufficient to raise your favor as fast as possible there is no additional benefit to repeatedly praying in quick succession or praying for long amounts of time. Use the Praypower to kneel and enter a meditative state, raising your favor and displaying your current favor. You can only worship one deity at a time. If favor drops to 0%, the deity will abandon you. Ignoring your religious duties or violating their taboos will cause your favor with the deity to gradually diminish. Upon reaching 100%, you become a Devoteeand receive a second gift that is a dramatic manifestation of the deity's power on Tamriel. Some deities can only be worshipped by certain races or after completing a quest.Īdhering to the tenets, praying, and worshipping at their shrine will raise your favor with your deity. Followers receive a subtle gift, the Praypower, and a list of religious tenets. Some of the items found in treasure chests are only found this way and are not craftable any other way.Whenever you use a shrine, a dialog box appears, allowing you tobecome a Followerof that deity.This grace distance is even larger the easier the clue is. Has some grace distance, you do not need to dig on the exact tile/item it picks just near it.Use a shovel on the ground and select the dig up treasure option which will check if any clues you have on you are at your location.Creatures from this will drop no corpses but will give skill for fighting.Will go into hiding again after 45 minutes if not yet killed until you come and dig again, then the same remaining creatures will ambush you again.Combat Challenges: when you try to dig up a location you may come across some creatures ambushing you which you must defeat before you can continue digging it up.Will mention what map grid it is near, this becomes less precise the more difficult it is.Mission Constructed items that are not in caves/enclosed or near villages.Colossus that are not enclosed or near or in a village.Any guard tower that are not enclosed or near or in a village.Challenge clue: will give an area and some information about an item from a list of items to find.Will mark nearby disbanded villages on the map as well as the area to dig.Deed Ruins clue: Works similar to the maps but will be focused on areas that past villages have existed.Right clicking the map and selecting the hint option will draw a circle on your ingame map with a general area to search, the area gets larger on harder clues.Map clue: Shows a map with a location you must go to, will not be super close to villages or in an enclosed area.There are several different clue types to help you find your treasure!
